Creating Memories From The Heart For The Heart
Capturing the emotions from a couple’s photo session has to be my most favorite style of photography.
ROBERT PHO & FAMILY AT SUNSET, KAKAAKO WATERFRONT PARK
Oahu is an amazing place to live.
I know this firsthand, as I have a beautiful family with my wife and two daughters on Oahu. Watching my daughters grow up in Hawaii has truly been a highlight of my life.
Just remember, you and your children will be that age only once in your lifetime. Remember those times and memories with a family photographer.
Having a family photographer who can capture your family’s precious moments as a couple with your children is priceless!
Every time my brother visits from the mainland, I’ll set up a family photo shoot, so we will always have that time to remember.
ASHLEY & FAMILY POSING DURING SUNSET, MAKAPU’U BEACH
There are so many beautiful beaches in Hawaii.
With the previous night’s high tide washing away all the footprints from yesterday’s activities, the early morning sunrise makes these beaches seem untouched.
As you sit here, listening to the laughter of your family and the rolling of the ocean’s waves, you can see the day’s first magical light shine above as the “golden hour” approaches from behind the horizon.
I know how important and precious a family photo can be.
I strive to make my Oahu family portrait photo sessions fun and memorable for you and your family by engaging your family in a more candid lifestyle photo session where each family member interacts with the other.
Personally, I don’t like the “posed” shots, but everyone, especially Grandma, has to have at least one, which is why it’s always first on my list.
FAMILY SUNRISE PORTRAIT AT ETERNITY BEACH
MOTHER & SON FAMILY PHOTO SESSION, MAKAPU’U BEACH
FAMILY SUNRISE PORTRAIT AT ETERNITY BEACH
Oahu is a beautiful island with a lot of diverse landscapes and cultures.
Known for its stunning beaches, vibrant city life, and rich history and traditions, family photographers like me are more than happy to recommend shoot locations and times of day that would be best to have photos that will last you and your family a lifetime.
For an Oahu photo session, the best times of day are sunrise and sunset. Why? It’s known as the “golden hour.” It’s the time of day when the skies turn into a rainbow of colors: orange, yellow, pink, purple, and blue, and it will simply take your breath away!
However, with that said, it is not the only time of day that an Oahu family portrait session can be done.
While the golden hour provides a beautiful backdrop for family photos, it may not always be feasible for families with small children or busy schedules. In such cases, midday or overcast days can also provide great lighting for photography.
As an experienced family photographer on Oahu, I will work closely with you to find the perfect time and location that fits your family’s needs and preferences.
How much time do I need to schedule a photo session?
It may be four weeks before your family photographer on Oahu session, but depending on my scheduling and if I do have an opening, it may be possible to fit you in sooner.
How should I dress?
My advice to you is to wear something you feel comfortable in. If you have matching shirts and dresses for your family, shorts and slippers, or formal wear. Very few Honolulu family photographers have my level of experience.
I’m worried about posing.
Easier said than done but don’t worry, I have 12 years of experience posing model photo shoots and couples portraits. I want your experience to be stress-free and, most importantly, fun!
